Bullying and Harassment Policy

Alpha Pacific Navigation Pte Ltd, based in Fiji, provides Seafarer Recruitment and Placement Services since our establishment in 1992. The business arranges Pacific Island seafarers to work as crewmembers of international commercial ships.

Leadership is committed to ensuring that our workplace environments, including those of our customers, is free from any form of bullying and harassment, including cyberbullying, in accord with international human rights.

We encourage all workers, visitors or seafarers subject to bullying and harassment or witnessing such behaviour in any form to immediately report this to the company or ship management for follow up and in severe cases to the external authorities. For the implementation of this policy the following definition of harassment shall apply:

Harassment is any uninvited, unwelcome behaviour or conduct that can offend, humiliate, or intimidate and is based on:
• Sex
• Age
• Race
• Religion
• Disability

• Sexual Preference

As in any area of human interaction, the boundaries of what constitutes harassment vary from individual to individual. Additionally, one individual may have different boundaries for a relationship; therefore, it is the responsibility of all employees to recognise and respect the boundaries set by others.

Leadership expects this policy to be followed by anyone working in our business (including seafarers) in any circumstances involving any other person associated with our business (including clients, customers and visitors) whether on or off-site, and whether in or out of working hours.

Harassment in any form will not be tolerated under any circumstances and management will take immediate and appropriate disciplinary action against anyone who breaches this policy.

This policy will be communicated to our employees and seafarers and our interested parties, and be publicly available.
